This Essanay comedy wastes no time getting started, as a young man apparently goes into a fit and collapses in front of a tavern. Rushing outside, the anxious bartender "saves" the fellow by plying him with whiskey. A few more such performances, and it becomes obvious that the hero's moments of madness have been contrived so that he can cadge a few free drinks. A thirsty hobo watches this with interest, then decides to utilize the same method himself. Alas, the first tavern he chooses has already been visited by the phony lunatic; thus, the hobo is "revived" not with liquor but with a seltzer bottle.
