Korean personal identity and displacement is addressed through the prose of the late Korean-American writer and filmmaker Theresa Hak Kyung Cha in this artistically stimulating film by Yunah Hong. Poetically blending both autobiography and fiction, Hong presents a creative visual and aural montage of Cha's book, Dictee, through historical footage, dramatic performance, and a trio of voice-overs. Hong's work has been featured at numerous film festivals, including the NY Asian American Video Festival and the Montreal Women's Film Festival.
