Animator Leah Shore directed this willfully bizarre comic short subject. An elderly man whose head resembles a loaf of bread is awake late one night and as his mind wanders he recalls a number of curious events from his childhood -- an unusually bad haircut from his mother, an uncomfortable moment with an anti-Semitic friend, his parents' problem flatulence, and a woman discussing the relative merits of men from different countries. Combining several different animation styles (including stop-motion, pixilation and hand-drawn pen and ink), Meatwaffle was created as part of Shore's graduation project at the Rhode Island School of Design; the film later became an official selection at the 2010 Sundance Film Festival.
