Edison's Man Under the Bed was conceived as a companion feature for the company's At the Eleventh Hour. The hero is an absent-minded hotel guest who wanders into the wrong suite. The occupant, an old maid, reacts in horror when she discovers that there's a man in the room. The terrified protagonist hides under the bed (hence the film's title) while the old maid and the concierge stalk the bedroom, weapons in hand. Finally cornered, the man is certain that he's going to be shot full of holes -- but it turns out that the sprightly spinster has other plans for him.
