Experimental filmmaker Jeanne Stern's ten-minute short Malaventures de Zut-Alors uses mechanical puppetry to weave the tale of Siamese twins -- a brother and a sister -- named Zut and Alors. Stern laces the film with many unusual sights, and uses inventive materials to tell her story -- everything from crepe paper to bicycle bells to old books. (The title phrase "Zut-Alors" is itself something of an in-joke: a popular French curse word.)
