Released on the same Pathe reel as The Belgian Army, Lucy at Boarding School is built around the antics of a precocious teenager. No sooner has Lucy arrived at school than she begins breaking all the rules, mouthing off at the teachers, breaking curfew and even (gasp!) smoking cigarettes. Part of Lucy's punishment for these infraction is to have a portion of her dress cut off by the headmistress; in this way, the girl will be easy to identify at bed-check time and will not be afforded the chance to sneak away. But Lucy outfoxes the teachers by cutting all the other girl's dresses in an identical pattern, driving the headmistress to distraction during the nocturnal roll-call. Lucy, Lucy, 'splain yourself!
