The three-reel Eclair release Lost at Sea was apparently filmed in Europe, though it country of origin was unidentified in its original publicity material. The heroine, Yvonne, is loved by both Pierre, a seafaring man, and Lucien, a landlubber. When Pierre and his comrades are reported lost at sea, Lucien moves in on Yvonne. But wait, Pierre hasn't died after all, but has been marooned on a tropical island. Rescued by a passing ship, he arrives home just in time to prevent Yvonne from marrying Lucien. The Variety reviewer complained that the film moved a long at a "funeral" pace, which may or may not have been a typographical error.
