The plot of Selig's Led By Little Hands wasn't even new in 1910. Marrying her boyfriend in a secret ceremony, the heroine is booted out of her home by her unforgiving father. Nine years pass, during which time the couple has two children, a boy and a girl. Despite her domestic bliss, the heroine is still unhappy about her estrangement from her father. Aware of this, the two kids visit their grandfather on their own volition, hoping to persuade the old man to forgive and forget -- they do and he does. Thus, the film ends on an exultant (albeit hardly unexpected) note.
