Édouard Manet's impressionist classic "Le Dejeuner sur L'herbe" famously portrays two well-dressed men enjoying lunch in an idyllic setting with a beautiful woman, who happens to be nude. What does this juxtaposition of visual elements mean -- and how would the situation play itself out if the image were created today? Filmmakers Ondrej Brody and Kristofer Paetau ponder these questions in the experimental short Le Dejeuner sur L'herbe, in which Manet's image isn't a world-renowned painting but the first shot in a pornographic film. Featuring nudity and explicit sexual content, Le Dejeuner sur L'herbe was screened in competition at the 2007 Rotterdam International Film Festival.
