Described by filmmaker Shon Kim as "moving painting," this animated short subject features a barrage of abstract images that occasionally cohere into the image of a human face, only to shift again into an unrecognizable form. As patterns of electronic sound throb on the soundtrack, the visuals transform from the beautiful to the forbidding and back again over the course of several minutes. Latent Sorrow was screened in competition at the 2007 Slamdance Film Festival.
