Though the title of this Argentine musical translates as White Horse Inn, it bears no relationship to the much-later British film of that title. Rather, it is a Latinized adaptation of the popular operetta by Leo Benatzky (with Benatzky himself providing additional songs for the occasion). Orchestra singer Juan Carlos Thorry stars as a famous crooner who is inveigled into a moneymaking scheme by a group of mischievous schoolgirls. The ladies are trying to save the White Horse Inn, owned by the sister of one of the students, from going out of business. Working under an assumed name, Thorry agrees to sing at the inn to attract customer -- a plan that works all too well, resulting in a series of romantic misunderstandings.
