Though obviously lensed in New Jersey, Edison's Knight for a Night was set in the English countryside. A chubby country squire stumbles home from the local pub, three sheets to the wind. Along the way, he comes across an old and rundown stagecoach. Falling asleep, the squire dreams that he is a medieval knight errant. Commandeering the coach, he rescues three damsels in distress from their sinister pursuers. Just as he is about to be smothered in kisses by the grateful maidens, the squire awakens from his rum-induced slumbers.
