This three-reel Ruritanian melodrama was one of the last films produced by Charles Urban's Eclipse studio. The protagonist is a cute little girl who happens to be the queen of a middle European monarchy. Though the little Queen loves her people, the scheming Prince Regent does not, thus he delights in imposing all sorts of despotic edicts upon the populace. Figuring that he won't be able to get away with this sort of skullduggery once the Queen grows up, the Prince Regent arranges to have the child kidnapped and done away with. Fortunately, the Queen is rescued by her tutor, a former supporter of Prince Regent, who, out of fondness for his cherubic pupil, abruptly changes allegiance in the final reel.
