This British three-reeler was originally released under the title The Incomparable Mistress Bellairs. Set in the 18th century, the story delineates the romance between the flirtatious Kitty Bellairs and dashing highwayman Captain Spicer. Complicating the plotline is the fact that Kitty is the object of passion for the equally dashing Lord Mandeville. Rachel Pearce starred as Kitty, with Hubert Willis and Lewis Gilbert as the men in her life. Based on The Bath Comedy, a novel by Agnes and Edgerton Castle, the property had previously been dramatized by David Belasco as Sweet Kitty Bellairs, and under that cognomen would be refilmed with Claudia Dell and Walter Pidgeon in 1930.
