This Pathe jungle documentary was originally released in tandem with the studio's one-reel melodrama The Evils of Betting. Most of the film was lensed on the Sunda Islands, where at the outset of the picture the natives are shown feeding a pack of friendly monkeys. In return, the monkey serve as unpaid "cocoanut gatherers" for the local farmers. As for the snakes, these are particularly large and vicious-looking specimens. Still, the undaunted natives are able to hold the reptiles in their bare hands for the benefit of the camera. Though not "billed" in the film's title, several bird specimens are seen to good advantage.
