Greek filmmaker Pavlos Paraschakis wrote and directed this typically weepy tearjerker about a wealthy and beautiful upper-crust woman (Katy Papanika) who falls in love with a good-looking fisherman (Nikos Dadinopoulos) while vacationing on an island. The smitten lady brings her handsome fisherman back to Athens with her, where he eventually reveals a prodigious singing ability and becomes a popular vocalist. This being a Paraschakis film, happiness never lasts forever and the crooning fisherman is soon struck blind in an accident. It's fairly well made for its type, and viewers who are moved by this sort of maudlin claptrap should be sufficiently entertained. Vassilis Avlonitis co-stars with Kostas Palios and Irene Koumarianou.
