Dorothy Dalton was better known in Westerns when she starred as a traveling salesperson in this comedy. It's the post-World War I era, and women are able to take care of themselves, as Mary Marbury (Dalton) shows. She's one of the best salespeople for Abbott and Son. She also happens to be in love with the Abbott son, Raymond (Douglas MacLean). Unfortunately he's too busy chasing chorus girls to notice. Meanwhile, a phony nobleman (Frank Leigh) is courting Raymond's sister Lois (Nora Johnson). Jonas, the senior Abbott (Edwin Stevens), wants Raymond to settle down with Mary, so they concoct a plan. Abbott fakes a mid-life crisis in which he flirts outrageously with Mary, and she pretends to respond. Abbott's children are horrified at his antics, and the supposed nobleman takes this as his cue to hurry Lois to the altar. But when Mary and Abbott get stuck together on his yacht, it proves fortuitous because they uncover the nobleman's true nature. Meanwhile, Raymond has wised up and realizes that Mary is the girl for him.
