The title tells the story in this one-reel British comedy. The film was based on a popular music hall sketch by Will Evans, though naturally the dialogue portions of the sketch were conveyed visually. Utilizing a prop, papier-mâché horse, the indefatigable Evans spends nearly ten minutes trying and failing to harness the animal. Reportedly, this routine brought down the house in England, but American audiences, accustomed to the more elaborate buffoonery of the Keystone comedies, were unamused. Subsequent "live" performances by Will Evans in New York proved more successful.
