The Nikkatsu studio wasn't just making violent S&M and mawkish erotic melodrama in the 1970s, as this goofy pinku eiga sex comedy attests. Hajime Tanimoto stars as a hapless struggling author named Mio, who writes a fluke best-seller and is suddenly on top of the world. He starts cheating on his wife in seedy bars, sleeping with hookers, and so forth, but when one of his paid escorts makes a public announcement about his habits and his small penis, everything comes crashing down. The book is banned, Mio is grounded by his wife, and he even seeks the help of a legendary Robin Hood figure (the so-called Rat Man of Japanese myth) to get a penis enlargement. Director Nobuaki Shirai's film then goes totally off the deep end when a second Rat Man appears and the slapstick becomes more prominant than the sex. Maya Hiromi, Nobutaka Masutomi, and Rei Okamoto co-star.
