Lawrence Wong directs this loose, playful look at nightlife in Hong Kong. Divided into four vignettes, the film follows a number of lonely souls as they cross paths, including a couple checking into a love hotel, a fledging thug on his first Triad assignment, a sloshed barfly squatting in a rich man's apartment, and a Philippine maid who demands that her lover perform self-mutilation. This film was screened at the 2000 Berlin Film Festival.
