A father is convinced someone has dangerous designs on his daughter in this thriller from Argentina. Juan (Alejandro Fiore) is a man in his early fifties who has a wife (Milagros Gallo) and two children, pretty teenage daughter Laura (Julieta Mora) and her troublemaking younger brother (Maximiliano Gigli). Juan has packed up the family in the car for a trip to a seaside vacation community called Green Waters; Juan loves his family and feels protective towards them, so when they stop for gas, he takes note of a scruffy but handsome twenty-something man named Roberto (Diego Cremonesi) who strikes up a conversation with Laura. Juan becomes keenly suspicious when Roberto shows up at Green Waters and happens to bump into the family on the beach, but his wife is as taken with him as Laura, and Juan is told his concerns about the young man are foolish. However, Juan finds out all too late that he had every reason to be worried about Roberto and his intentions towards Laura. Aguas Verdes (aka Green Waters) was the first feature-length solo directorial credit for Mariano De Rosa.
