A handful of women living in Madrid play an ongoing game of musical chairs with their love lives in this lesbian-themed comedy drama. Monica (Cristina Pons) is an attractive but high-strung former athlete who after a wild night at a nightclub wakes up to discover she's not alone. Monica apparently hooked up with Nines (Celia Freijeiro), who works as a bartender and has a promiscuous streak; Monica thinks she may have a new girlfriend, but all Nines wants is to get out as soon as she can. As Nines leaves Monica's apartment, she meets Carmen (Sandra Collantes), Monica's roommate, and is immediately infatuated, though to her annoyance Carmen is not only straight, she's planning to move in with her boyfriend. When Monica discovers Carmen is moving out, she rents out her spare room to Ana (Almundena Gallego), who has just moved to Madrid from a small rural town and is eager to experience what the big city has to offer. Monica's circle of friends quickly make it easy for Ana to explore new sides of her sexuality. Chica Busca Chica (aka Girl Seeks Girl) is a feature adapted from the popular Spanish television series of the same name; the film was an official selection at the 2009 San Francisco International LGBT Film Festival.
