In this Northwestern tale, James Morrison plays Edwin Harris, an adventurer who is injured in the woods. A doctor, Carl Brandon (Donald Hall), finds him and cares for his wounds. There is a dance hall nearby and one of its habitués, Marie (Dorothy Kelly), falls for Harris. Unfortunately, she has a jealous half-breed lover, Jean LaSalle (George Cooper), who suggest that the newly-healed Harris accompany him on a hunting trip. As soon as they are out of sight, LaSalle knocks him cold and ties him to a tree for the wolves to kill. But Brandon goes in search of his friend, and shoots at the wolves surrounding him. Harris goes after LaSalle and kills him in a gun fight. The Mounted Police are called in but Harris dashes over the border before they can catch him. The girl, apparently, has been forgotten, either by Harris or the scenarist, or both.
