An everyday Iranian stumbles into $50,000 in cash, only to discover that his troubles are just beginning in this satire from director Rakhshan Bani-Etemad. Morteza Olfat was your typical Iranian, a man just struggling to make ends meet in a country prone to inflation and obsessed with foreign currency. When Morteza stumbles into $50,000, he attempts to make the most of the situation by entering into the currency exchange business. Later driven to madness by the stress of dealing with the money, Morteza begins to wonder whether the money ever really existed, or if it was simply the figment of his overactive imagination.
