This snappy little detective drama has quite a few good moments. Although the notorious Martha Young (Adella Barker) has been arrested for white slavery, she is released for lack of evidence. A few days later, a girl (Tina Marshall) who took an interest in the trial runs into Martha, who is very ill. She takes her home and befriends her. Meanwhile, reporter Phillip Harding (George Marlo), who knows of Martha's association with gangster Peter Drayton (Ted Burton), tries to warn the girl. She refuses to listen, but Harding keeps track of her doings. He follows Martha, the girl, and another associate when they go to Drayton's home in the country. He hides in the home when it is raided by the secret service, at which point he tricks Drayton's henchmen into believing he is on their side, then double-crosses them. Finally, he rescues the girl, who is being attacked by Drayton. It is then revealed that the girl is Mary Lane, the famous secret service woman, who has been on both Martha's and Drayton's trail for the past several months.
