This Norwegian documentary won three "Amandas" at the Norwegian Film Festival in 1989. The filmmakers followed a group of young street toughs from Oslo who were picked up for violating the law and drug use, and were involuntarily enrolled in a survival school program in remote Tyrili. There, they were taught how to hunt, go rock climbing run whitewater rapids, etc.. Along the way they were given the chance to talk about their lives with with sympathetic instructors, and at any point they were free to return to the streets of Oslo. Despite the intense difficulty of the physical challenges they endured in the survival school, all stayed with the program.
