Flivvering was another one-reel "Klever Komedies" effort, starring the inimitable Victor Moore. The hero's troubles begin when he purchases a second-hand Ford for the then-exorbitant sum of $99.99 -- plus $6.66 for accessories. Come Sunday afternoon, Moore decides to take the wife and kiddies for a spin in his new car. Bit by bit, the Model T slowly disintegrates, until its occupants are reduced to thumbing their way home. "Flivver" jokes were hardly new in 1917, but this single-reel farce managed to score several solid laughs with its familiar material.
