Well-known silent screen players Fritzi Ridgeway, Lillian West, Carl Stockdale, and Al Fremont supported director-star John J. Hayes in this obscure -- and long-lost -- thriller. The trade paper Motion Picture News described The Fatal 30 as "a melodrama that deals with a religious cult of sun-worshippers and their belief in human sacrifice to the sun." In it, a young newspaperman (Hayes) and his girlfriend (Ridgeway) begin an investigation into the cult that eventually lead them on a merry scavenger hunt for a hidden treasure.
