Faint Heart and Fair Lady was another of the "Klever Komedies" one-reelers which kept Broadway comedian Victor Moore busy throughout 1917. Moore is cast as a girl-shy village smithy who falls in love with a lady from the Big City. Upon rescuing the lady's purse from a thief, the hero is invited to visit her when she returns to Manhattan. Preparing himself for the culture shock, Moore purchases an ostentatious wardrobe and begins taking lessons in lovemaking from a certain Professor Mush. In the process, he forgets all about the City Woman and ends up eloping with Professor Mush's girlfriend.
