Running three reels, Facing the Gatling Guns was produced by the Mittenthal brothers. The story concerns the construction of a huge dam, an undertaking hampered by a severe lack of funds. A New York City millionaire offers to bankroll the project, but only if the architect's daughter gives him a kiss (among other things). She refuses, leading to a major labor vs. management brouhaha. Fortunately, the handsome hero digs up enough money so that construction can continue. Disgruntled, the spurned millionaire hires a couple of goons to sabotage the project by mowing down the workmen with a pair of gatling guns. The villain then manages to frame the construction foreman (the hero, of course) for murder. Fortunately, truth and justice prevails just in time for the "End" title to flash upon the screen.
