Dutch Types was the first of three Pathe films released simultaneously during the week of November 19, 1910. The "types" were mostly females, dressed in traditional Dutch costumes, right down to the requisite wooden shoes. Of the male "characters" in the film, most were middle-aged, and all were smoking pipes. There wasn't much variety in the film, save for the unique pipe designs, all shown in loving close-up. As was customary with the Pathe product of 1910, Dutch Types was color-tinted by hand, one frame at a time.
