One of the few Indian silent films to survive fully intact, this romantic melodrama was directed by G.P. Pawar. The film centers on a goodhearted King who is battling with his nefarious ministers led by his own brother, Kalsen. One day, Kalsen poisons the King and tries to do in the infant heir Chandrapratab too, but the child is smuggled out of the palace by a loyal retainer. The prince grows up in the forest as an acrobat named Hamir (Hamir) who is thoroughly smitten with his tumbling partner, the vivacious Saranga (Lalita Pawar). Kalsen's debauched son, Ramanaraj, kidnaps Hamir's love and tries to force himself on her. Hamir bravely battles dozens of guards to save Saranga. When he reaches her, he rejects her, believing that she succumbed to the rich man's wiles. Instead, Hamir dons a cape and a mask to become a high-flying avenger of sorts.
