George Grant and Don Wilson (Allen Holubar) have a fight in a barroom, and later on, Grant is shot to death in his office. The only person who knows the real circumstances of Grant's death is his partner, John Benson (William Welsh), and since he won't talk, Wilson is convicted and sent to the electric chair. A year passes and criminologist James Sprague (Curtis Benton) takes an interest in the case. He believes that Wilson was innocent, and figures out that Benson -- whose guilty conscience is getting to him -- is the culprit. Sprague installs a couple of helpers as servants at Benson's home and plays psychological games on him that cause him to crack. Finally he admits to the crime and goes to prison. Actor Benton wrote the story for this drama.
