This 1972 Greek comedy, Boom, bears no relation to the 1963 production of the same name by Vittorio De Sica. It uses the same sets, costumes and many of the same actors as the much more serious film, Hippocrates. In this farce, two wandering players in need of work stumble into a situation of mistaken identity, as one of the men looks like the little-loved ruler of a town they visit. Without becoming one penny richer, they manage to emerge from the dangerous meat-chopper of local politics, having brought about the downfall of the tyrant.
