Yosuke Nakagawa made his directorial debut with this 60-minute tale of small-town life in Naha on Okinawa where 18-year-old beauty-parlor worker Ryoko (Mari Ouchi) is intrigued after spotting a stranger enter an apartment near the salon. This is drug dealer Kazuya (Keigo Heshiki), and Ryoko makes contact with him, unaware that he's caught up in a gang war between rival Shanghai and Taiwan gangs. Shown at the 1998 Berlin Film Festival.
