Christos Apostolou directed this typically Greek romantic comedy dealing with the life of renowned poet and author Yeorgios Drossinis and adapted by Dimitris Yiannoukakis from a popular folk song by Drossinis himself. Set in Athens at the beginning of the 20th century, the film deals with a sickly young girl (Kakia Analyti) and her obsessive love for an older poet (Drossinis, who died in 1951, was already in his forties at the time of the story). Loaded with all of the stereotypical stock characters one might expect in such a tale, and lovingly photographed by Kostas Filippou, the film stars Nikos Stavridis along with familiar faces like Andreas Barkoulis, Dina Trianti, and Nelly Pappa.
