Greek filmmaker Yiorgos Tseberopoulos directed this entertaining adaptation of the popular Yiovanna novel Take Care. The story concerns young Christos (Alkis Kourkoulos), who aspires to become a popular singer after being discharged from the army at age 22. When his dreams fall flat, Christos takes a job at a butcher shop, where he quickly draws the romantic attention of Marina (Katy Papanika), the middle-aged wife of the shop's ambitious owner, Michalis (Nikos Dimitratos). Complicating matters further, Christos is soon desired by Marina's daughter, Fanny (Tania Tripi), an aspiring swimmer who had previously not had much time for boys, as well as Roula (Vanna Barba), his former girlfriend who had supported him financially by working as a hair stylist. Christos begins an affair with Marina, making her incredibly happy. Eventually, however, Marina sacrifices her personal happiness for that of her daughter -- as she has done throughout her life -- and respectfully backs off when she learns of Fanny's interest in her lover. Tseberopoulos co-wrote the sensitive screenplay with Vassilis Alexakis.
