The identity of the man who directed this Biograph comedy is uncertain, but it was definitely not D.W. Griffith. In hopes of landing a husband, a farm girl writes her name and address on an egg destined to be shipped to the Big City. The egg finds its way to a Broadway restaurant, where a young blade named Johnny Wise reads the message, packs his bags, and heads to the sticks. Unfortunately, it turns out that the egg has been in "cold storage" for several years. Thus when Johnny arrives on the farm to claim his bride, he is greeted by a wrinkled old crone. A chase and a hasty escape by train ensues.
