In this documentary, filmmaker Bahman Maghsoudlou draws on extended on camera interviews with the author to explore the many thoughts and concerns that informed Mahmoud's best works. An intimate portrait of a beloved writer overlooked as an anti-revolutionary near the end of his career, Ahmad Mahmoud: A Noble Novelist also examines the severe hardships faced by many Iranian writers.
