Alevise Orfanelli directed this standard early Greek musical about a beautiful young woman (Aliki Theodoridi) who is tempted by the bright lights of Athens and its carnival, only to be drawn into some sordid debaucheries. Ultimately, however, true love wins out as she is swept into the arms of silent film star Konstantinos Moussouris. There's a good deal of local color and music to help the story along (odd, since it was made in Egypt by an Italian director), and indeed many viewers may find it more interesting than the foreground developments. Manos Filippidis co-stars with Christos Tsaganeas and Marika Raftopoulou.
