This Pathe travelogue was released in conjunction with the same studio's The Lonely Bachelor. As noted by the reviewer for the trade magazine Variety, "The title describes the film." The audience is treated to views of the Ceylonese landscape, the Ceylonese seashore, and the Ceylonese people. To enhance the film's entertainment value, Pathe color-tinted the picture by hand, frame by frame (the studio employed a large staff of female artists for this purpose). If the title means nothing to the modern viewer, it may be because Ceylon is now known as Sri Lanka.
