Documentarians Onrej Provazník and Martin Dušek co-helm the sobering sociopolitical exposé A Town Called Hermitage. The events at the film's core unfold against the backdrop of post-war German resettlement in Czechoslovakia. Dušek and Provazník undertake a foray into the upturned hamlet of Dolní Poustevna on the promonitory of Šluknov, for a glimpse of several individuals deeply afflicted by the changes being wrought on the town - including a Vietnamese immigrant named Denisa, a group of mentally impaired denizens of a welfare institute and a German tourist searching desperately for a whorehouse.
