Star Tom Moore added some much-needed spark to this routine comedy-drama. Harry Lathrop (Moore) has it all -- wealth, good looks, and social standing. He plays polo, drinks hard, and is surrounded by friends who enjoy his wild life. The one person who does not approve is his fiancée, Betty Dalrymple (Seena Owen). Because of his partying, Lathrop is late taking Betty to a dinner, and when he does show up, he is roaring drunk. Betty is disgusted and breaks up with him. Lathrop goes back to his friends and his partying, but he finally becomes pretty disgusted with himself, too. Ultimately, he asks his attorney to cut off his funds for a year so that he can straighten himself out. Lathrop takes on a series of odd jobs, including selling sheet music and playing nursemaid to a litter of puppies. The puppies happen to belong to Betty's aunt. Betty is currently being courted by a man who is only interested in compromising her. Lathrop foils his plans and Betty, who has never stopped loving him, forges a reconciliation.
