This sensitively wrought, non-exploitative documentary from Australia pulls viewers into the world of Chris Rohrlach, an Australian sheep farmer in dire straits. His quadriplegic and neurologically impaired wife of 14 years, Rachel, demands long-term care, and Chris lacks the means to pay for this. With no other options in sight, Chris hatches an offbeat plan for some extra income -- he decides to build and run a brothel in the middle of the Outback. The community responds with fury and indignation, but nothing can keep Chris from supporting his wife's needs in this unusual manner. Meanwhile, Rachel (who communicates exclusively through eye movements that others must translate) has a few feelings and opinions of her own, and wastes no time in conveying them -- which sets up an uneasy tension between the two spouses.
