We are Plexus Entertainment, developers of GoWatchIt, a new start-up making waves in the film industry; and we're currently seeking talented people to join our small, dynamic team. We launched at the end of 2011, and continue to receive great attention from the press. Our current partners include the Sundance and Tribeca Film Festivals, Indiewire, Roger Ebert, The New York Times, Radius-TWC, The Twilight Saga and more. We are currently hiring for the following positions:
We are looking for front-end developers to help us revolutionize the movie industry. The ideal candidate enjoys the rewarding outcome of hard work. He or she has a balance of experience and ambition to learn what's required to get the job done. This position touches primarily the front end web stack, delivering a responsive elegant front end for desktop web and mobile. For the well rounded coder, there will be many opportunities to touch the back end code. You should have an eye for detail, and take pride in making every pixel count.
Reporting directly to the CTO, you'll have the opportunity to participate in all phases of the product life-cycle: from brainstorming on product features, all the way to the finest implementation detail. It goes without saying that you can effectively communicate in all modes (orally, in email, or in a Basecamp comment). We don't want our product to be great, we want it to be amazing! And, of course, a love of movies is a plus.
You should be able to demonstrate previous ability to deliver quality work (as a coder, of course), and hit the ground running from day one. Whatever you don’t know already, if you can learn as you go, we’re more than happy to have you, and teach you everything we know.
We are located in a stylish, laid-back spot in TriBeCa (downtown Manhattan) and have frequent team-build events that involve delicious food and beverage. We also work in the film industry and you'll have an incredible opportunity to be involved in both the Hollywood and Independent movie scenes.
This position is full-time, onsite in TriBeCa, with opportunities for flextime. We offer a competitive salary with benefits.
Please send your resume and an articulate cover letter to jobs@gowatchit.com. All submissions are reviewed by humans who care.
GoWatchIt is growing by leaps and bounds! In addition to our website, we also support a mobile web version of the site, a mobile app, a browser bookmarklet and a widget, which resides on partner websites. We are looking for someone to help with the ongoing design of new features as well as support the design needs of our product across all modalities. This is an opportunity to have a real effect on a growing brand and product.
