Indie filmmaker Joe Swanberg writes and directs this romantic comedy drama centering on the sexual tension between craft brewery employees Luke (Jake Johnson) and Kate (Olivia Wilde), who wrestle with their growing attraction to one another due to the fact that they're both in committed relationships. With Luke's marriage-minded girlfriend Jill (Anna Kendrick) and Kate's boyfriend Chris (Ron Livingston) out of the picture for a weekend, the flirtatious co-workers learn there is no denying what the heart wants.
cool that there was no writen lines, but I could tell a few times.
Sweet and funny in parts, but don't expect much to really happen. Watching it is kind of the movie equivalent of hanging out. The actors are mostly charming and fun to watch, but I just didn't believe that (spoiler alert) Luke wouldn't totally bang Kate, so I'll take a star off just for that.
This is a wonderful movie with the smarts and emotional intelligence of the best Jane Austen type dramas (but utterly modern). I loved it.
